Chiropractic care
Did you know? Chiropractic care goes beyond just “cracking” the back to help alleviate neck and back pain. There I said it— now let me elaborate.
Chiropractic care is not just about the immediate satisfaction of pain relief, although a bonus, it actually is a very specific process that over time, will help your body heal better on its own. The long story short version: A chiropractic adjustment will remove joint restriction, specifically in the spine, which improves the communication pathways from the brain to the rest of the body. If we are changing the nervous system (spinal cord and brain), we are changing the way the body adapts, which is essential to not just living, but thriving. Therefore, since we are talking nervous system functioning, Chiropractic can be beneficial for quite literally, everyBODY.
So, who is included in everyBODY? Anyone with a spine, at any stage of life should be checked by a Chiropractor. Pain is irrelevant. So, should your newborn baby be checked by someone who specializes in pediatric care? Absolutely. Should a pregnant mama be checked by someone who specializes in prenatal care? 100%. Should a “healthy” child be checked? Yes. Should an adult striving for wellness? No doubt. You get the point.
Now let’s go over how Chiropractic care helps certain demographics:
Benefits of Prenatal Chiropractic Care: Decreases overall tension in the body, especially belly, low back, hips and pelvis. Improves sleep. Encourages optimal fetal positioning, improves labor and birthing outcomes, decreases general pains and discomfort.
Benefits of Postpartum Chiropractic Care: Enhances your body’s ability to adapt to newly changed/changing body systems, helps with overall healing, lowers stress/depression/anxiety rates, improves breastfeeding outcomes (for mama & baby)
Benefits of Newborn Chiropractic Care: Enhances overall nervous system development, improves breastfeeding outcomes through palate and cranial assessment and adjustments, supports the digestive system, decreases reflux and overall fussiness.
Benefits of Pediatric Chiropractic Care: Enhances overall nervous system function, improves adaptability (ie., to stressful situations, environmental stressors etc.), improves immune system (ie., decrease in prevalence/severity of ear infections and colds), promotes optimal growth and development.
Benefits of Chiropractic Care for overall health and WELLNESS: Promotes an optimal functioning nervous system, improves adaptability to environment stressors, supports digestive health, strengthens immune system function, improves athletic performance, prevents injuries, promotes better healing outcomes, improves postural disfunction, & relieves inflammation due to imbalances that may cause pain and discomfort, by fixing the cause not the symptom.
These are just SOME of the reasons Chiropractic care should be apart of your journey of life. It has taken me almost 20 years of education, and consistent & frequent researching/studying/learning/practicing/growing, to become a Chiropractor, so passionate is probably an understatement. This form of health care is not like other forms of health scare, it is safe, effective, non-invasive and simply improves your body’s innate ability to do and be what it is designed to.
Peace, love & happy adjusting <3
